SHEILD
SHEILD’s mission in Lebanon reached a high level of recognition by the local community and civil entities as well as official entities. SHEILD now is considered a main pillar in community coordination in the south of Lebanon and in assisting the most vulnerable community groups throughout more than three years and a half of community-based interventions through a participatory, anti-political and anti-religious approach. Responding to the needs, the wide and systemized coordination mechanism established, in addition to supporting official and governmental entities are the main reasons for the high level of credibility that SHEILD has among the population and community stakeholders.Information
SHEILD throughout the previous years of presence in southern Lebanon has managed to play an important coordination and interaction role with almost all community stakeholders, which enabled SHEILD to enter deeply into the society and unite the efforts of different entities for the best interest of the population. The challenge here is to keep playing such role even with limited funds and resources through dynamic and constant movement in the community and on the field.Fundamental Charter
